Runflat TSI’s Are Not For One Time Use Only
A recent trial on Toyota 105’s for a leading UK vehicle converter, which involved trialing Runflat International TSI’s against a leading competitor, confirmed the ease of being able to re-use Runflat TSI’s; as they were easy to remove from the punctured tyre and as such could be re-applied to the replacement tyre. In addition assuming that there was no major damage to the tyre’s wall, then the tyre may also be re-usable subject to repair.

Obviously in major cases of sabotage both tyre and insert have to be replaced but where the puncture is minor and therefore potentially repairable, then the test demonstrated the economics of using Runflat TSI’s.
